Job Crisis

Western Australians are still reeling from the aftermath of the gas explosion on Varanus Island where the 100km gas pipes run. As numerous workers get laid off from companies which are directly or indirectly affected from the gas explosion, I invariably fear for the bleak prospect of changing jobs at this time. Gotta hang in there for a while!

I wonder how sheltered I feel despite of the economic downturn in US and now, the plunge in consumer confidence in Australia (due to a variety of reasons of course), and the big lay-off as a result of the gas explosion. I'm saying that because, I am going to unbashedly admit that I have just bought a couple of dresses, plus the LV Epi leather petite noe I have been eyeing on!

Although my shares plunged since last December (the expected acquisition did not take place!), I havent really felt the pinch on my pockets as yet! So long as I'm far from the possibility of being in debt, I would just live for the moment!
